What can I expect at a meeting?
We meet the second Wednesday of each month between September and June at the renowned Black Fin Pub in Comox in their private, fully catered, ocean view room which is located on the lower level. (Please park in the marina parking lot.)
5:30 pm: Meeting Registration Opens
5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Networking / Cash Bar
6:00 pm – 6:15pm: Welcome, member introductions
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Gourmet buffet, dessert, coffee & tea
7:00 pm – 7:30pm: Networking activity and/or spotlight speaker(s)
7:30 pm – 8:15 pm: Keynote Speaker Presentation – each meeting features a different speaker, or panel of speakers, on topics of general interest to professional women. Guest speakers typically focus on business development, leadership, networking tips, mentorship and career management, self-development and care.
8:15 pm – 9:00 pm: Networking / 1-on-1 questions or follow up with the speaker, door prize draws.
May I bring a friend to a meeting?
Yes! We encourage you to bring colleagues, business contacts, clients, prospective clients and friends to meetings. Please follow the same steps to register your guests as you would to register yourself. Note that dinner/meeting tickets for guests (non-members) are $5 more than the fee for members.
How do I buy meeting/dinner tickets? Is there a deadline?
Tickets are available online through Eventbrite. Online pre-registration is always required the Sunday prior to the meeting date.
I don’t own (or manage) a business, will I still feel welcome?
Absolutely, yes! We welcome women from all business sectors, all levels, and all ages! Our members represent everything from home-based network marketing enterprises to business owners and managers … and everything in between!
How many meetings may I, or my friend attend before we have to become a member?
After you have attended two meetings, you will be required to join us as a member. In the meantime, to stay up to date on our events and community endeavours please sign up to receive our e-newsletter for free and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Monthly Dinner Meetings are held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month (September through June) in the lower banquet room at the Blackfin Pub in Comox.

At our June 13, 2018 meeting Linda Graceffo (right) presented Maureen Glowasky of Grace Cosmetics with our first ever honourary CVWBN ‘Lifetime Membership Award.’ Maureen has been a member since the organization was created more than 25 years ago.
She is an inspiration to all of us and is well-deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Maureen!
